Qualia, Bard College's first undergraduate philosophy journal, is seeking submissions in the hope of producing its spring 2011 issue. We will accept essays on any topic in philosophy. If you know of any students who would be interested in submitting to us, we kindly ask that you forward this letter to them. Qualia's goal is to promote outstanding scholarship in undergraduate philosophy and to give students an opportunity to display their work to others. Reviews are name-blind. The submission deadline is March 1, 2011. Students need not be majoring in philosophy to submit.
Students who wish to submit should send their essay as a .doc attachment to email@example.com. Submissions should be double-spaced in size 12 font and should not exceed 15 pages. To keep reviews anonymous, papers should include--as a separate attachment--a cover page with the paper's title and the author's name, college or university, and email address. The author's name should not appear on any other part of the paper. Papers require a bibliography, and we accept both MLA and Chicago citation styles.
Qualia is also seeking undergraduate reviewers to assist in selecting submissions for its Spring 2011 issue. We ask that professors pass this information along to any students whom they believe would be interested. Requests for an application should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org (the application deadline is March 1).
