ISRE 2011 Kyoto Conference

Conference of the International Society for Research on Emotion (ISRE)
July 26-29
Kyoto, Japan

ISRE’s next conference will be held at the Garden Palace Hotel (http://www.hotelgp-kyoto.com/english1) in the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan. Confirmed keynote speakers are John Cacioppo (social neuroscience), Arlie Hochschild (sociology) and Hiroshi Ishiguro (robotics).

Submissions for symposia (of up to 5 papers), individual oral presentations and posters from scholars in all disciplines (including psychology, philosophy, sociology, linguistics, computer science, history and anthropology) working on topics relating to emotion are welcome. The program committee encourages symposia including contributions from more than one of the above disciplines to facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogue, in addition to single-discipline symposia.

The conference web-site at http://isre2011.com/ is now live. The link for abstract submission will also be active in the next few days, and the deadline for submission is February 7, 2011.

Please consult the submission guidelines available on the website before preparing your submission. You will need to provide an abstract of no more than 250 words for each individual presentation (including those submitted as part of symposia), and an additional abstract introducing each proposed symposium.
