Terrorism, Ticking Time-Bombs, and Torture

On February 11-12, 2010, Western Michigan University will host a
workshop on Fritz Allhoff's *Terrorism, Ticking Time-Bombs, and
Torture* (University of Chicago Press, forthcoming); the principal
point of the workshop will be to get Prof. Allhoff feedback on draft
chapters of the book. All are welcome to attend and presentations on
particular chapters are also invited. Draft chapters can be found
here:

http://www.allhoff.org/research/terrorism-ticking-time-bombs-and-torture/

If interested in attending or making a presentation, please email me
at vishal.k.garg@wmich.edu. Those interested in presenting should
also identify some particular topic of presentation, such as a chapter
from the book. Presentations should engage the manuscript, but are
certainly not beholden to it; a wide range of possibilities could be
appropriate and we are happy to consider them. Proposals for
presentations should be in by January 1, and notifications for
attendance should be in by January 15.

Graduate students are especially encouraged to attend and we will
attempt to house them for free with our own students. Jessica
Wolfendale, Michael Davis, and Jeremy Wisnewski are already scheduled;
people interested in their work are also encouraged to attend.

Regards,
Vishal Garg
