The 1st Stockholm Philosophy Graduate Conference

CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite submissions of papers by graduate students to a conference, hosted on May 29-30, 2009, by the Stockholm University Philosophy Department.
Papers on any topic in philosophy are welcome. Submissions will be selected according to argumentative strength, clarity, originality, and accessibility to a general philosophical audience. Participating papers will be given 55 minutes (30 minutes talk, 10 minutes commentary, and 15 minutes open discussion). Where possible, commentary will be by a faculty member.

Notification of Acceptance by March 2nd, 2009
Papers should not exceed 4.000 words in length and be prepared for blind refereeing. Be aware of the fact that the software you use may automatically insert identifying elements; please have them removed (under “Properties in MS Word).

I) A cover letter containing the following information:
i) Author’s name
ii) Title of paper
iii) Institutional affiliation
iv) Contact information (email, phone number, mailing address)
v) Word count
vi) The area(s) of the paper (e.g. metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, etc…)
II) The paper itself, with a title page containing the title of the paper and an abstract of no more than 150 words (free of identifying information).
