Pragmatism & Science Conference, June 19-20
Center for Inquiry Transnational
We are currently seeking papers for our upcoming conference concerning pragmatism and science. Papers should address the relationship between pragmatism, pragmaticism, neo-pragmatism, or naturalism and one or more of the scientific disciplines. We are especially interested in papers applying new research to pragmatism's tenets, or applying pragmatism's views to problems arising in the sciences or philosophy of science. Reading time should be about 20 minutes per paper. All papers should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org for blind review. Please send papers in .doc or .pdf format.
John Bickle (University of Cincinnati)
Ron Giere (University of Minnesota)
Don Howard (University of Notre Dame)
The conference will also feature workshops for graduate students and interested faculty members, which will be directed by John Shook (Center for Inquiry and University at Buffalo) and Ron Giere.
